This is an ancient formula said to evoke powerful dreams. This tea blend was created with the intention of assisting with dream visions. Some of these herbs have been used for centuries to induce visions. It is best to prepare to drink this tea 30min before bed and it will aid you to remember your dreams more clearly. If you dream they tend to get more vivid and clear. If you don’t tend to have dreams, it may not help induce dreaming, but you should feel more rested when you wake up. There are 5 stages of sleep that we go through every night. The 5th stage is when you reach REM the dreaming stage. At REM is when you will have the most vivid dreams.  This stage happens close to the time before we wake up. We cycle through the 5 stages in different order each night. The tea is helpful for relaxing the nervous system, but also stimulating to the mind without keeping you awake, assisting you in remembering your dreams more clearly.

I chose the mythic Dragon as a symbol for this tea for its spiritual significance with many different cultures. Dragons have long been revered for their wisdom, and in using Dragon as a symbol I hope to have the Dragon guide you along your dream journey, as Dragon has done for me. They also have a strong association with the elements water and earth, which makes up the same elements we use for tea.

Other tools I suggest you use are sleeping on dream pillows for enhancing the experience. These pillows are typically filled with herbs that help to relax you into a restful sleeping state, plus they smell amazing. When you get into bed, before you close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and then try saying an affirmation (I will list some below). This will set your intention before you fall asleep. I also suggest keeping a journal next to your bed to write down your dreams as soon as you wake up. The little details will be lost if you don’t do it right away. If writing isn’t something you’d do, use a voice recorder and speak of the dream before it fades, most smart phones will have this already built in.
