Hello Beautiful Souls,
Today I'm going to share with you a different way to journal. Some of you may know or have heard about the immense benefits of keeping a journal, but it may be difficult to know where to start, and the thought of filling an entire page is just daunting. I am going to show you an easy way to begin, and we will continue this in many Instagram posts at @revivetreeoflife. I'll be sharing more ideas and prompts every Wednesday for #writingwednesday #revivewritingwednesday. If you are inspired to share your journaling process with us, hashtag us at #revivewritingwednesday.
My favorite way to begin is to buy a beautiful journal or one that just feels special and use a fountain pen with a colored ink. For me, that really sets a mood, but it doesn't have to be that fancy either. The point is to get started and not let anything stop you, especially if it's not budget friendly for you. Go to the dollar store and get a notepad and a pack of colored pens and you are good to go.

So to begin, I'd like for you to take a short walk outside. You only need 10 or 15min. If you have longer, wonderful. Notice everything around you. What is the weather like? What animals, if any, did you see? Did a plant or flower stick out to you? Did you feel the need to pick up a rock, or did you find a feather? Once you've come back from your walk set a timer for 5min and just journal about your experience. How did you feel before the walk? How do you feel now? Once you've written that out, as a bonus you can look up the meaning to the animal. If you are new to this concept, I would have you look up the mannerisms and habits of the animal. What is it's medicine message that it brings to you today? The same goes for the plants. Example: You saw a lavender plant on your walk. Perhaps you need to reduce stress in your life and get more restful sleep. Make a few more notes about that. Now you've started a meditative, nature walk journaling process. Do this as often as you'd like.
I hope this brings you insight and joy. Please feel free to share your experiences with us in the comments below! We would love to hear from you! Remember to look for our new journaling prompts every Wednesday on our Instagram.
Brightest Blessings on your journey. ~Shara
